General Information

I NEED ACCESS/HOW DO I LOG IN?

Please log in with your UT EID and password. When you log in for the first time, you will get an email verification to activate your account. You will not have the ability to create projects so if you are  PI or staff member, please submit a Research IT Support Request to update your account.

I NEED PASSWORD HELP

Unfortunately, we cannot rest passwords within REDCap. Please use the UT self-service to reset your UT Password. If you have done that and it still is not allowing you to sign in, then you need to take it a step further and fill out an IT Support ticket with ITS. 

SUPPORT

OVPR is responsible for the administration of REDCap, which includes account management, upgrades, and basic troubleshooting. If you are having issues, please complete the IT Support Request. Responses can be expected within 2-3 business days.  (UT Austin Holiday Schedule)

There will be limited support for project setup, training, or consultation so please utilize the training resource provided below.

2024 Update Schedule:
  • This REDCap application will undergo monthly maintenance, 4th Friday of every month from 5pm - 6pm.
  • The site will be interrupted for 1 hour so please keep that in mind when scheduling data entry events.
  • Users will receive an email with detailed information about any changes to the schedule.

REDCap is a secure web platform for building and managing online databases and surveys. REDCap's streamlined process for rapidly creating and designing projects offers a vast array of tools that can be tailored to virtually any data collection strategy.

REDCap provides automated export procedures for seamless data downloads to Excel and common statistical packages (SPSS, SAS, Stata, R), as well as a built-in project calendar, a scheduling module, ad hoc reporting tools, and advanced features, such as branching logic, file uploading, and calculated fields.
